181 today, kids. I have not seen this weight since 2005. :) Or a consistent weight loss pattern, for that matter. So, woohoo!
Song: Better Than Love (right-click, save-as)
Quick question...is anyone downloading these music files? And if you are, does your browser convert the file to an mp4 on download? Why does it do that?? I'm uploading them as m4a's, I swear. I would upload them as mp3s, but it seems silly to go to the trouble of burning a CD to convert them when they're already DRM-free. All this is leaving copyright issues aside, which...you're all friends, right? I can consider this limited personal use of my music collection. :)
I suspect this wouldn't be nearly as annoying if I didn't have an irrational hatred of Quicktime, but if anyone can offer some insight, I'd appreciate it.

As for the files - I do...once in awhile. *coughs, looks around shiftily* My browser (Firefox 3 on ubuntu linux) doesn't do any funky conversion. I suspect Quicktime is doing something along the lines of "Convert m4a to mp4 because we know they ~really~ want mp4." I'll poke at a few others and see what I can find out.

yeah, and it could be an IE thing, too. I almost singled it out, but then I wondered if I wasn't just aiming for the easy target there. I haven't tested it with firefox...my work computer doesn't like it, for whatever reason. Safari does the conversion, too, I think, but it's been a while since I've tried to download one on the iMac. Usually that's the one I'm uploading from.
What's also weird is that if I just rename the file to m4a, itunes opens it up and everything's cool. So I'm not sure it does any real conversion, it just changes the filename. Stupid quicktime.
