um, finally....

My duathlon results. :) They didn't change the rankings officially, but since 3rd place was given to the 4th place girl at the ceremony, I strongly suspect that 2nd place girl only did one bike lap. I guess it's conceivable that someone could walk the run portions and go all out on the bike @ 27 mph, but it's not likely. Hell, the male winner of the event averaged less than 24 mph.

So anyway, I ended up 6th of 8 Athenas. If I had raced age group, I would have been 7th of 8 in women 30-34, 130 of 137 overall. Not bad for my first time out.

Next year, I'm shooting for sub 10-minute miles and 18+ mph bike leg, and much more respectable placement. If I race Athena again, I might even be a contender. :)
