FMF Rerun, Original air date: 1/19/07

In which we revisit AFI, Death Cab for Cutie, and Eddie From Ohio. Also, a bonus song thrown in, just for the hell of it. :)

Oh, and a completely unrelated story...I woke up early and in a good mood today, so I decided to get crazy and blow out my hair and put some makeup on. I got to work, and the very first guy who saw me did a double-take and said, "Did you get new glasses?"

"Nah, just wearing makeup."

"Ooooh...I knew there was something different."

Hee. It's like when I had lost 40 lbs. and people kept asking if I got a haircut.

(And yes...I do look kinda hot today, thanks for asking.)

UPDATE: Links/files removed.

Prelude 12/21 - AFI

Endlessly, She Said - AFI

Someday You Will Be Loved - Death Cab for Cutie

I Will Follow You Into the Dark - Death Cab for Cutie

This is Me - Eddie From Ohio

Independence, Indiana - Eddie From Ohio

And for the bonus song, we have a little Modest Mouse. Well, not really Modest Mouse, because although they seem like a band I should like, I just...don't. However, I was searching for that Float On song the other day, and came across a bluegrass version on a Modest Mouse tribute album. The whole concept struck me as sort of hilarious, since I think of a tribute album as something done after a legendary band breaks up/retires/dies in a horrific plane crash. I wouldn't classify MM as legendary, and they just released a new album four days ago. Not to mention...bluegrass? Seriously?

So of course I had to download it, and you know what? I actually kind of dig it. So here you go...

Float On - "Various Artists", from The Bluegrass Tribute to Modest Mouse: Something You've Never Heard Before

That's for sure. Right-click, save-as, and have a fantabulous weekend!
