I've been buying a lot of music lately, either because I heard a song I liked on XM radio in Rob's car (I really need to get mine set up...have to get my own car back first, though) or because I remembered a song that I haven't heard in a 1000 years. The selections for this week are from CDs that I downloaded, either on the recommendation of the almighty iTunes, or because I heard a song I liked on XM. Next week will be the single-song downloads.
First is the CD I mentioned in passing in last week's FMF--Hello Love, the latest from The Be Good Tanyas. I love them. I didn't know they had released anything new, though, until iTunes was kind enough to tell me about it. I downloaded the whole CD, but these are my favorites:
Next, Regina Spektor, Begin to Hope. There's this station on XM called 20 on 20, where they take listener requests and play the top 20 continuously. Because the listeners are different at different times of day, the countdowns are a little bit different each time (though SexyBack is always there...Justin Timberlake is universal, I guess). Fidelity (linked below) made the top 20 when I was in the car this weekend. I downloaded the CD, and haven't heard it on XM since. I guess the universe aligned, or something.
Samson* This is my favorite...
Right-click, save-as, and have a great weekend!
*There's a possibility these links are mixed up. When I moved them to my upload folder and changed the names, I dragged instead of releasing and they all got the same name. To save time in listening to them again, I just named them based on the order I thought they were in. So, if the names are wrong, apologies. :)
