Weigh In, measurements, and new race rankings

Well, I'm still clinging to the 180s, holding fast to 180.0. I thought measurements might cheer me up, but the only thing that shrunk was my thighs. Which, I guess, if there's a place I want to shrink, that's it...but it becomes sort of a hollow victory when I gain an inch on my waist. And hips. *weep*

The measurements for this month were:

Bust: 40 (+1)
Waist: 33.5 (+1)
Hip: 45 (+1)
Thigh: L-23.5, R-24 (-2.5)
Calf: 16, both sides (nc)
Arm: 14, both sides (+1)

These measurements are disappointing, especially since I was telling Rob just a couple days ago that I thought my bustline had shrunk. I've had to adjust the strap of my HRM smaller this week, and also move my bras in to the next set of hooks. However, even measuring the band area under my boobs, it came out bigger than the last time I measured. Maybe because I was inhaling and I don't remember what state I was in last time, but it still pisses me off. How can I be bigger EVERYWHERE except my thighs?!

Anyway, race rankings are still unsure right now, as they are every week at this time. Rob was at 269, for a loss of 2 lbs that will probably keep him in the lead. Jarrod is unknown, but he has been losing this week, so I'm betting on him in second place. And then I'm bringing up the rear again with a stupid maintain at 180.

UPDATE: Jarrod was at 180 also, so we're tied for 2nd. Woo!

Goal results will come later, but they're as you might expect for a maintain week.

Weight this morning = 180.0. A little disappointed, but I will take it. All the weight lifting hasnt made dropping weight very easy. But, my neighbor said I was looking "buff" yesterday. So, I guesss thats something. I will be 178 or less next week or else!

I hope you don't mind this post Joy - but you cannot lose at 2000+ calories a day, the weighins you have been having should tell you this. I know it's hard but you seem to have your exercise down pat pretty good...time to work on the food! And, I do know you know this and I know you are trying.

nah...I don't mind the comment. But actually, I can lose at 2000, and I have. Judging from my fitday stats for the months of March-May, I can lose just under a half pound a week at 1800-2000 avg per day. However, I can't do it without working out a lot more and/or harder than I did this week, or the week before, or the week before that. And I certainly can't lose enough per week to win this contest. So, in those respects, you're right. :)

And yeah...food is my biggest problem here, and always has been. I'm still searching for that magic number of calories that is enough to satisfy and keep my metabolism up without being too much for effective weight loss. I think it's in the neighborhood of 1400-1600 for me right now, but actually hitting that range has been a struggle. I'm going to be focusing more on that in the next few weeks.
