The weekend was...um...not so good. I ate out a lot. I drank very little water. There were nachos, and there was cake. Twice.
That said, it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. What I ate was mostly crap, but I didn't really eat all that much of anything. I only ate one small piece of cake at the birthday party, though I really, really wanted a bigger one.
The biggest downfall I have on weekends, I think, is the water. I have no problems at all drinking 2-3L of water per weekday, but on weekends it falls to zero. On some level I understand why this is--water at work is in single-serving bottles, water at home is in one big bottle, which means a glass is required, and that just dirties another dish, and I end up with glasses all over the house because I forget where I left the last one, etc. And there's just something satisfying about throwing away a bottle after I drink it. It just seems sort of wasteful to buy all my water in 1/2-liter bottles. All that plastic.
There's also the fact that I'm all over the place on weekends, while weekdays are spent pretty much in the same 10x10 foot space. If I set 6 bottles on the desk, 6 bottles are drunk, because they're right there. I can't really do that at home, because I'm doing laundry, or eating out, or driving. The bottles aren't in plain sight 90% of the time.
Something needs to be done, because I can totally tell the difference between the days I am drinking a lot of water and the days I'm not. I break out more. I split the corner of my lip again this weekend, and that only happens when my water intake goes from high to non-existent. It also makes eating sandwiches and the like very difficult, since I can't open my mouth very wide without splitting it again (which might actually be a good thing, except that it doesn't really stop me from trying, and it frickin' hurts).
Anyway, I think if I could find a foolproof system to get me to drink more water on the weekends, that would go a long way toward stopping the eating free-for-all as well. I'm going to have to work on that.
I'm the same way about not drinking water when it requires a glass. I've had the most luck drinking my water when I buy the wasteful 16oz bottles and put 4 in the fridge every morning. As long as the fridge is empty of all water bottles by the end of the day, I know I've done well.
Sometimes I tell myself that I should stop wasting money on bottled water, but I know this is the only system that seems to work for me, so I guess it's worth the extra expense if it means I'll drink my water.

Hey Joy, I've been reading for awhile now and I know something that might help.
I buy the single serving water bottles then when they are empty, I wash them, refill them, and put some in the fridge and some in the freezer. The ones in the freezer I take out on a hot day and let it melt a bit and drink it as it melts. When there's no water but a huge ice chunk, I refill it and keep going.
The ones in the fridge are handy when I'm too lazy to get ice and a glass. I also grab a few bottles when I'm leaving and keep them with me depending on where I'm going.
Hope this gives you some ideas!
