a good day

I woke up in an absolutely spec-frickin'-tacular mood this morning. Seriously. I got Noah and myself ready to leave in plenty of time, was able to stop for coffee, and actually got to work early for the first time in a month or so. I found my cell phone, which I thought I had left at the bank yesterday. And tomorrow starts the weekend. It's a banner day around here.

Good thing, too, because yesterday was the longest, most frustating day...though I did have one small victory. A printer problem at 4:57 (swear to God) kept me from going to the sculpting class at 5:15, and persisted long enough that I had to go pick up Noah before I could work out. Ordinarily, this would mean no workout or a DVD at home, since I don't like driving the 15 minutes back to work just to use the treadmill. Due to the oft-mentioned fitness bonus, though, I went back to work and used the fitness center, even though I really, really didn't want to. Go me!

And for the completely unnecessary and unsolicited wedding update of the day...I've got my hair and makeup appointment scheduled for wedding morning, and all the surplus rooms at the reserved hotels cancelled. I've priced table/chair rentals, and only need to call the company and order them. I've asked our best man (who's a Music Guy) to help me with the reception playlist. Kat and I going to the party warehouse store this weekend to get the rest of the favor stuff and the piddly crap like ring pillows, guest book, unity candle, etc., etc. (Since my debit card has still not arrived, I hope they take checks.) If there's enough time after that, I'm going to run by the bridal store and pick up head and footwear for the ceremony, and ask about the status of the bridesmaid dresses. Gifts, lingerie, and other details will be handled once my debit card arrives. I think we just might pull this off after all.

And finally, my aunt (Miss America on the left) sent me an email today, saying something like..."So, the wedding day's getting closer. Have you noticed?" She cracks me up.
