Thanksgiving went well. I ate too much. I slept just enough. Today, I am 1.5 lbs lighter than I was on Wednesday, which I realize has absolutely nothing to do with my eating or exercise habits. Thank you, oh kind swoosh fairy.
I'm trying to eat light for the next 3 days, so that I can post a pretty good loss on Wednesday. The number I'm hoping for is 182, but I'm thinking it will probably be closer to 183. But again, even if it stays the same as it was today, I'll be happy.
In other news, I ran a mile today! Well, not really. What I did was travel 2.5 miles on my feet on the gravel track at my office, running in fits and spurts that added up to about a mile, and walking the rest of the time. It felt pretty good...better than I expected. I could go as far as a 1/4 mile before getting winded, which was a shocker. The last time I tried to run, I was dying after a block and a half. My hips are aching right now, though...I can just imagine what they're going to be like tomorrow.
Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it), I'm planning on doing the same thing tomorrow, since I won't be eligible for company workout incentives unless I get 8 workouts at their facilities this month. As of today, I had 7. Tomorrow is the last day in November, so there's no putting it off. Plus, Rob's going with me, so that'll be better. I'm totally kicking myself that I didn't work out much this month, though...I'm looking at 13 or more lunch workouts next month to earn my gift certificates. Travel vouchers, baby. Mama needs a cheaper honeymoon.
