well, not too bad...193 on Rob's scale this morning. If I work hard for the rest of this week, I may even post a loss at the next WW meeting.
Our vacation was fabulous (except for the flight home, where the baby behind us screamed pretty much non-stop for 2 hours), and I didn't worry about what I ate or how much exercise I did. It was just what I needed...a vacation from everything, including The Diet.
I've got some pictures from the trip...most are polaroids, though, so I'll have to scan them in. I brought the digital, but I was always the one taking the pictures with that one, so there aren't any pictures of me on there. My dad is something of a technophobe, so he sticks with the polaroid...likes the instant gratification, I guess. Good thing for us, because then we get to take some home. I was surprised to find that while I don't look exactly thin in pictures, I no longer look all that bad. There were a couple pictures that I was actually--gasp!--happy with. If I get the time to scan them in tonight, I'll post them.
Very few people noticed the weight I'd lost, but I wasn't really expecting them to...I was probably 210 the last time I was up there, and I was only down to 192 this time around. With someone as big as me, carrying my weight where I do, 20 lbs isn't all that noticeable. I saw a friend's mom while I was there, and she had lost 70 lbs...I could tell, but only just barely. I think she put on a lot of weight when I was away, then took off that to get back to just slightly below the weight she was the last time I saw her. She looked great, though. Like me, she still has a way to go, but we'll both get there.
But anyway--back to life, back to reality, as the song goes. I'm going to fire up the diet and exercise logs later today. Stay tuned...
