I was reading Bill the other day, and she mentioned that she was doing a workout based on this book. Being a dutiful minion, I went over amazon to see if this would be something for me to try.
Well, I bought the book, paged through it...dumbbell work, super/giant sets. I noted that I could do all of this at home in front of the TV, rather than hauling my ass to the gym. Sold! I ran it by Rob to see what he thought, and then tried it. Yesterday, I did the upper body workout, and got almost all the way through the chest exercises before I realized that I would need an adjustable bench to really do this properly. My couch cushions and kitchen chair arrangement were just not cutting it. Still, my biceps were nice and sore today, in all the right places.
So tonight I decided to try the lower body/ab workout. OH *pant* MY *gasp* GOD. By the second set of thigh exercises, I thought I was going to die. (That was the first 5 minutes.) Then there was butt, and abs. I was incapacitated on the floor by the time I got to the calf exercises, so decided to skip those and call it a day.
Suffice it to say that this is going to work for me. Now, if someone could send over a forklift to get my ass out of this chair, I would really appreciate it. I don't think my leg muscles work anymore.
